Alcohol and Other Drugs
Demand continues to increase for evidence-based alcohol and other drug treatment services in regional areas across Australia.
In our region, we are working with service providers to improve access to treatment and coordination of care for people experiencing alcohol and other drug dependence.
Services We Fund
To improve access for alcohol and other drug support, we fund the services below:

Residential Services
Residential services provide live-in support, including culturally appropriate support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders. Accessing this treatment facility is available for anyone living in the Darling Downs and West Moreton region.
Our funded provider is:
- Sunrise Way – based in Toowoomba and servicing the whole of Darling Downs and West Moreton

Non-Residential Services
Alcohol and other drug treatment services funded by our PHN provide a variety of evidence-based interventions, including early and brief intervention, counselling, post treatment support and relapse prevention, case management and family support.
Our funded providers are:
- EACH - Boonah, Esk, Gatton, Goodna, Ipswich, Laidley and Lowood
- Lives Lived Well - Toowoomba, Chinchilla, Dalby,Stanthorpe, Gatton, Kingaroy and Warwick
- Ted Noffs Foundation - West Moreton

Culturally Appropriate Services
We fund holistic, culturally appropriate, alcohol and other drug support services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living in Toowoomba, Warwick, Dalby and Kingaroy. These services provide, withdrawal management support, counselling, rehabilitation and relapse prevention support, and care coordination.
Our funded providers are:
- Carbal Medical Services - Toowoomba and Warwick
- Lives Lived Well - Kingaroy and Dalby
- Sunrise Way - Toowoomba

ADIS is a free, 24/7, counselling, information and referral service for anyone with concerns about alcohol or other drug use. This is an anonymous and confidential service.
Family Drug Support Australia
Family Drug Support Australia supports families to deal with alcohol and other drug issues in a way that strengthens relationships and achieves positive outcomes.
Queensland Network of Alcohol and Other Drug Agencies (QNADA)
QNADA represents the views of the non-government alcohol and other drug sector in Queensland.

Online portal that recognises cultural diversity and provides access to interactive evidence-based drug education resources for school communities.

Online toolkit providing trusted, evidence-based, and up-to-date resources about crystal methamphetamine (ice).
Just Ask Us
Assists tertiary students to find information and seek help for a mental health or alcohol and other drug problems.
Alcohol and Drug Clinical Advisory Service (ADCAS)
ADCAS is a free telephone support service for health professionals who provide clinical advice for the management of patients with alcohol and other drug concerns.
Dovetail
Dovetail provides clinical advice and professional support to services and communities who engage with young people affected by alcohol and other drug use.
Insight
Insight is a leading provider of alcohol and other drug training, education, information and other workforce development services.
Australian Indigenous Alcohol and Other Drugs Knowledge Centre
Find alcohol and other drug resources that provide evidence-based support to those working to reduce harm in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
Queensland Indigenous Substance Misuse Council (QISMC)
QISMC member services provide a range of culturally safe treatment programs to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders with addiction substance use and other addictions.
