Provider Champion - Pharmacist Nadia Golder
Goondiwindi based Pharmacist believes that the access to relevant health information My Health Record provides will streamline the care patients receive.
Nadia Golder is a pharmacist that manages the dispensary at the Lucy Walker TerryWhite Chemmart in Goondiwindi. She works within a dynamic team of three pharmacists, an intern pharmacist, two dispense technicians and multiple pharmacy assistants.
“We have had My Health Record installed and working since mid-April 2018. Since then we have slowly started incorporating it into our work flow processes by collecting and entering patient details,” she said.
“My Health Record allows us to review information more readily, especially if patients are unsure of any medications they have been prescribed.”
Nadia believes that a digital record will tie in very well with the Medscheck process, particularly for access to discharge summaries. Having access to a tool such as My Health Record will allow for more efficient process and therefore better results for patients.
Nadia is confident that by allowing records to be available electronically, health professionals can work better as a collective health care team to provide more streamlined care.
