Adis: 24/7 support for alcohol and other drug concerns

Adis (alcohol and drug support), a Queensland Health initiative proudly delivered by Metro North Hospital and Health Service, provides free 24-hour, 7-days-a-week telephone counselling and support for Queenslanders with concerns about their own or someone else’s use of alcohol or other drugs.

When you call, you can expect to speak with an experienced counsellor. They’ll take your concerns and questions seriously and offer advice and information. Together, you will decide whether you need further assessment or treatment. Your counsellor can help you find a service at a location convenient to you.

Additional Adis support resources include new Withdrawal Management Support Booklets to assist people who are completing a supervised withdrawal/detoxification for drug types including:

• Alcohol
• Benzodiazepines
• Cannabis
• Methamphetamine
• Opioids
