Connecting the health workforce for better community health

Darling Downs and West Moreton PHN is once again connecting health professionals across the region with its local Meet and Greet events.

After the success of the Meet and Greets in 2022, the opportunity to connect in-person was again well received, with over 350 health professionals attending from Goondiwindi, Warwick and Stanthorpe, Toowoomba, Lockyer Valley, Ipswich, and Springfield.

Lucille Chalmers, CEO of Darling Downs and West Moreton PHN, has been taking these opportunities to connect with health professionals across the West Moreton and Darling Downs.

“The last year has been a year of recovery, change and growth for healthcare in our region. These events been a wonderful opportunity to connect with our health service providers an recognise the incredible work they do.” said Ms Chalmers.

Ms Chalmers also reflected on the recent release of the Strengthening Medicare Taskforce Report which provided insight into how primary care will be strengthened to ensure affordable, integrated and person-centred care is available to every Australian.

Upcoming Meet and Greets are scheduled for Chinchilla/Dalby and Kingaroy. Health professionals interested in building their networks are also encouraged to register for Red Ant Round-up on 11 March 2023.
