Visitors to Greater Melbourne asked to get tested and isolate
Queensland is monitoring the situation in Victoria closely after a hotel quarantine worker at the Grand Hyatt Hotel tested positive to COVID-19. As a result:
- Anyone who has arrived in Queensland from Greater Melbourne since 29 January 2021 is being asked to get tested and isolate until they receive a result.
- Anyone who has visited any of the identified exposure sites must immediately isolate, get tested, and remain isolated for 14 days. Click here for a list of exposure sites and times.
- In addition, visitors to vulnerable facilities including aged care, hospitals, disability accommodation and corrective services will be restricted.
- Queenslanders have also been asked to reconsider the need to travel to Victoria.
There has been no decision at this time to close the border or declare any part of Victoria a hotspot.
The Australian Government has released further information this past week about the national rollout of the COVID-19 vaccination program.
