Creating opportunities for local networking
February 25, 2021
The PHN has been working to connect health professionals and promote essential networking throughout local communities during February.
Visiting 10 locations from Goondiwindi to Springfield, our Primary Care Liaison teams have hosted a number of Health Professional Meet and Greets to bring health professionals together to discuss important topics affecting the local community.
Darling Downs and West Moreton PHN CEO Merrilyn Strohfeldt said it was promising to see so many health professionals attend our events to meet new and established health professionals in their communities.
“It’s really nice to be able to bring the health care community together again after the challenges of the last 12 months with COVID-19,” Ms Strohfeldt said.
“It’s also a great opportunity for the PHN to meet local health professionals and listen to the challenges they are presented with, which vary from community to community.”
Over 480 health professionals had signed up to attend the Meet & Greet's across the region.
The PHN is committed to supporting the health workforce in our region by improving the capacity and capability of primary health care professionals.
