Did you know? My Health Record can be a lifesaver in an emergency
March 21, 2022
Floods, bushfires and the COVID-19 pandemic. Australia has faced ongoing emergency situations and it’s impossible to know when the next one might be. Having your patient’s critical health information in My Health Record can help them to get life-saving medicines during natural disasters, especially if they can’t make it home or their paper-based information has been destroyed.
My Health Record can be accessed by emergency departments if someone is rushed to hospital and enables rapid access to relevant information including medical history, allergies or medicines. Healthcare providers wanting to improve their knowledge and skills in using My Health Record can do so by completing a free eLearning module or by attending a live practical demonstration session specific to your clinical software.
