eHealth Practice Incentives Program (PIP)
The current ePIP quarter will finish on 31 July 2019. This incentive is designed to encourage general practices to incorporate digital health into their everyday patient care.
The PIP eHealth incentive consists of five (5) eligibility criteria. One of the requirements is to use the My Health Record system. This specifically relates to meeting and/or exceeding the required number of Shared Health Summaries uploaded to the My Health Record within each quarter.

Pathology uploads to My Health Record
Sullivan and Nicolaides Pathology (SNP) are now ready to offer uploading SNP pathology results to the My Health Record system more widely.
They can upload pathology results for episodes that are referred to them as an electronic order that includes the patient’s Individual Health Identifier and the flag to indicate the patient has given consent to send the pathology results to the My Health Record system.
When can results be uploaded?
Results can be uploaded for episodes that are referred as an electronic order (eOrder) that includes the patient’s Individual Health Identifier (IHI) and the flag to indicate the patient has given consent to send the pathology results to the My Health Record system.
What Practice Management Systems (PMSs) currently send suitable eOrders?
- Best Practice - Lava SP3 and later
- Medical Director - 3.17.2 and later
