Free training for Queensland doctors: Evidence-based parenting support
November 24, 2020
As mums, dads, and carers often present to their local GP with problems related to parenting, the evidence-based Triple P – Positive Parenting Program® is again inviting Queensland doctors to train to deliver Primary Care Triple P .
This intervention is ideal for parents who need help with common problems from hitting and biting to dinner or bedtime battles, fears and phobias, tantrums and many other issues. Parents receive topic-based Tip Sheets based on different ages, developmental stages and problems. Parents can do between two and four sessions of around 15-30 minutes. They can also be referred to free Triple P Online in Queensland, or other interventions if needed.
- This is an RACGP CPD Accredited Activity 219094 - allocated 40 CPD points in the 2020-22 triennium.
- Training is now via remote learning and video conference for your convenience.
- Doctors and appropriate general practice staff in Queensland may also be able to complete the upcoming training for free as part of the Queensland Government’s initiative providing universal access to parenting support.
