PHN celebrating NAIDOC Week

‘For Our Elders’ – this year’s National NAIDOC Week theme acknowledges that in every generation, Elders have played, and continue to play, an important role and hold a prominent place in our communities and families. From 2 July to 9 July, 2023, NAIDOC Week celebrations will be held across Australia to educate, drive change, and celebrate the oldest, continuous living culture on earth.
This NAIDOC Week, Darling Downs and West Moreton PHN continues its commitment to ensuring the voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are heard and considered in all of our decisions and actions.
The PHN team will be attending events across the region during NAIDOC Week. Find out below what events are on in your area.
- Oakey NAIDOC - Wednesday 28 June 2023 at the Oakey Federal Sporting Ground/Soccer Club, Qld, 4401 - 10:00am onwards
- Laidley NAIDOC – Friday 30 June 2023, 10am-2pm – Laidley State School Patrick Street Laidley
- Toowoomba NAIDOC – Monday 3 July – 9am-3pm – Toowoomba Goods Shed
- Ipswich NAIDOC – Thursday 6 July, 10am-2pm - Ipswich Turf Club
- Musgrave Park Family Fun Day on 7 July. This is one of the biggest NAIDOC celebrations and is a great day out.
