The PHN recently hosted a five-part webinar series with leading West Moreton Paediatrician Dr Ian Shellshear.
Dr Shellshear has over 40 years’ experience in paediatrics and is passionate about behaviour management for children and young people.
The Lunch with Dr Ian Shellshear Education Series was filmed at the Springfield Office in a makeshift studio and provided an opportunity to deliver important education and training to health professionals throughout the region.
Education provided by the PHN has been significantly adapted in the past 12 months due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with usual face to face events moving online.
The webinar series covered topics such as, examination techniques for children presenting with behaviour or development issues, the importance of family, carers and teachers, behavioural strategies, and diagnosis and assessment tools.
The series is still available for viewing on the PHN’s Online Education webpage. You can also find other webinars and education series delivered by the PHN and other peak bodies.
