Queensland Health Acute Resuscitation Plan (ARP)

In April 2019, the Queensland Health Director-General authorised the use of the ARP in services and facilities that are not public sector health services or public sector health facilities as defined by the Hospital and Health Boards Act 2011 (Qld). As of November 2019, an ARP can now be used in any health setting in Queensland, including but not limited to:
- Public sector health services and facilities
- Private health services and facilities
- General practice and primary care
- Residential aged care and disabilities facilities
- The patients home
Minor amendments have been made to the form to reflect that it is now available for use outside of Queensland Health. These changes have been outlined in the Acute Resuscitation Plan: Frequently asked questions. The new ARP form, as well as ARP Cover Sheet, fact sheets and other relevant resources, can be accessed on the button below.
All new orders from WINC and any backorders will be supplied the new version. Although use of the new version is encouraged, previous versions of the ARP form (i.e. ARP forms in use prior to November 2019) will remain current until clinically reviewed and amended.
