September 07, 2020

The RACGP AOD GP Education Program is a Commonwealth government funded program that aims to strengthen the capacity of GPs to address alcohol and other drug use in their communities. The Program includes diverse modes of delivery including face-to-face virtual environments, online learning modules and small group online webinars and mentoring series. Members can select and apply for the mode of training that best suits them.

The Program has been structured around Essential Skills, Treatment Skills and Advanced Skills Training and is underpinned by AOD Connect: Project ECHO, a community of practice where GPs can discuss AOD cases and seek support from their peers and AOD experts.

Treatment Skills and Advanced Skills Training attracts an incentive payment for eligible RACGP members. For more information on Program eligibility, incentive payments and to register for the Program, please visit the RACGP AOD GP Education Program Website.
