Join our Reconciliation Action Plan Working Group as a community advisor
May 21, 2021
We’re inviting all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members and interested parties to submit an Expression of Interest to join the PHN’s Reconciliation Action Plan Working Group (RAPWG) as an external community advisor.
Darling Downs and West Moreton PHN’s RAPWG is currently in the process of developing and implementing an Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) following the delivery of the organisation’s initial Reflect RAP over the past 12 months.
A RAP is a strategic document that supports an organisation’s business plan. It includes practical actions that will drive an organisation’s contribution to reconciliation both internally and in the communities where it operates. The RAP formalises our commitment to reconciliation and ensures the voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are heard and considered in all our decisions and actions.
Purpose of the RAP Working Group
The purpose and function of the Darling Downs and West Moreton RAPWG is to assist the PHN with strategic advice, planning, monitoring, reporting, and communication related to the RAP.
- strategic advisement
- monitoring and reporting
- planning and communication.
As a community advisor to the group, you will have the important role of providing advice and community perspective to the RAPWG as the group works to design and implement its current Innovate RAP.
The RAPWG meets monthly and all agenda items and discussions within the meeting will be deemed confidential.
Participants can attend the meeting via Microsoft Teams or in person at the Darling Downs and West Moreton PHN Springfield or Toowoomba Office.
