Spring VaxBus on its way across the region

The third PHN VaxBus of 2022 is now on the road!

The Spring VaxBus will make 26 stops across the entire Darling Downs and West Moreton region and is expected to deliver hundreds of vaccinations to the community.

This innovative approach to vaccine delivery has been a great success for the PHN over the last two years. The buses specifically target communities who may experience barriers to access such as location, transport, language, or disability.

The Spring VaxBus is focused on vaccinating the community ahead of the summer months when our communities come together for events and end-of-year celebrations. Community members can access COVID-19 Pfizer vaccines for children and adults, Novavax vaccines for adults, and free Influenza vaccines for everyone aged five years or older.

All vaccines will be administered by the Oceana Immunisation team. The schedule has been designed with flexibility in mind to ensure maximum coverage of the community.

While Medicare cards are not required for vaccination, participants will require a legal form of identification such as a driver’s license, bank card or passport.
