Voluntary Assisted Dying program: consumer, carer and community input wanted

From 1 January 2023, Queensland residents will be able to request access to the voluntary assisted dying scheme in accordance with the Voluntary Assisted Dying Act 2021.

West Moreton Health is establishing a Voluntary Assisted Dying Steering Committee and working groups to coordinate the local implementation. Expressions of interest are currently sought for consumer, carer, and community representatives to join the working groups and contribute to the development of local processes and care pathways that will support the West Moreton community to access the scheme, as well as develop training and education, awareness strategies and governance to support the implementation.
