Activity will form part of Activity One - Residential Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Treatment Services but will focus on providing services that are culturally appropriate.

Culturally Appropriate Services Applications were sought for services that are culturally appropriate for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, either as an enhancement to other services or a discreet service. 

It is expected that rehabilitation services could be offered in a unique way for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.  

These models will be tailored to be to be a more flexible model to meet the cultural needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. 

The approach will be holistic, taking into account in a spiritual, physical and emotional approach and acknowledging the connection with country in order to heal in the most culturally appropriate way. 

 Sunrise Way, in collaboration with Carbal Medical Services, was successful in gaining funding for this service.
