This activity is undertaken in conjunction with Activity 1 and involves the commission of services that are culturally appropriate for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, either as an enhancement to other services or as a discrete service.

Rehabilitation services can be offered in a unique way for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities with models tailored to be more flexible to meet cultural needs. This approach is holistic in nature to allow for healing in the most culturally appropriate way, taking into consideration the spiritual, physical and emotional while acknowledging the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community’s connection to country, community and culture.
