Priority area – Community based suicide prevention activities
Evidence-based and community suicide prevention activities are fundamental to support the wellbeing of people at risk to ensure supportive early identification and intervention strategies across the region. Darling Downs and West Moreton PHN have commissioned a University to work in collaboration with the Darling Downs Health and Research Collaborative (DDHRC) and the West Moreton Mental Health Collective Impact to develop a regional specific Suicide Prevention Plan.
In 2018/19, the Plan will also inform clinically endorsed recommendations to ensure alignment of individual suicide prevention activities across the region. Commissioning will reflect recommended areas of need to align with the provision of appropriate support activities and interventions.
