Carbal Cultural Awareness Training 2021 - Kingaroy

The Carbal Cultural Awareness Training (CAT) face-to-face workshop is a full-day, five session, 8 hour workshop that provides health professionals with the practical tools to deliver culturally competent services with emphasis on interactivity between our Indigenous facilitators and participants.

The aim is to share Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander journeys to empower health providers to deliver a truly culturally safe, informed and inclusive service.

This training is both an ACCRM and RACGP accredited activity and eligible attendees are awarded 40 CPD points and 12 PRDP points.

Speakers:

  • Uncle Colin Jones - Kalkadoon and Nunukul man and internationally renowned artist and scholar in Aboriginal culture, art and history
  • Charlie Rowe - Kamilaroi man and Community Outreach Manager
  • Tamika Campbell - Mandandanji woman and Clinic Operations Manager
