Deadly Sex Networking Update | STI & BBV Update for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers

This Deadly Sex Networking Update will provide Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and community workers with an update on sexually transmissible infections, HIV & viral hepatitis.

This education session will provide Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander health and community workers with up-to-date information on sexual health including transmission, testing, management and prevention of STIs and BBVs. The session will support health workers to feel confident and comfortable talking about sexual health with clients and community.

Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander health and community workers play a crucial role in the prevention of blood borne viruses (BBVs) and STIs. This education session will provide up-to-date information on sexual health including transmission. Testing, management and prevention of STIs and BBVs. The session will support health workers to feel confident and comfortable talking about sexual health with clients and community.

Sessions at this event will be facilitated by Dr Matt Ruhl, Karen Brown and Jean Cowling from Kobi House.
