Paediatric Masterclass for General Practice - Part 5

Children’s Health Queensland and the RACGP have this year partnered to bring you the Virtual Paediatric Masterclass for General Practice from the Queensland Children’s Hospital. And in the spirit of collaboration, we’re making this year’s online event FREE for Queensland GPs!

The annual Masterclass is the premier paediatric education event for GPs in Queensland. Topics have been designed by GPs for GPs, so you can look forward to a event targeted to your needs, with specialist insights that are both entertaining and content-packed.

Paediatric Masterclass for General Practice webinars will run weekly from Tuesday, 6 October 2020 to Tuesday, 17 November 2020, with the program broken into three blocks of two sessions each focused on

  • The first 2000 days
    • Part 1: Tuesday, 6 October - Prenatal screening; Newborn screening and the implications for general practice.
    • Part 2: Tuesday, 13 October - Dermatology in general practice.
  • Primary school years
    • Part 3: Tuesday, 20 October - Asthma, cough and the unified airway; Paediatric urological problems – enuresis, UTI, bladder dysfunction.
    • Part 4: Tuesday, 3 November - Assessing the child with headache, dizziness or concussion; Measuring progress – poor growth, obesity.
  • Thriving in adolescence
    • Part 5: Tuesday, 10 November - Eating disorders, self-harm, suicide prevention, and alcohol and drug use. Register here.
    • Part 6: Tuesday, 17 November - Adolescent gynae, teenage pregnancy, sexual health, and GPs in high schools creating an adolescent-friendly approach. Register here.

All 2020 Masterclass webinars are accredited for RACGP CPD activity points for the 2020-22 triennium.
