PenCS Training Sessions - Springfield

Morning Session – Beginner/Moderate (8.30am - 12.00pm)

Focusing on PenCS CAT Plus (PenCAT) applications at a beginner to moderate level. If you’re a new user or you haven’t had a chance to really get to know the applications this will be the training session for you. This training will also demonstrate how to use CAT Plus in the context of PIP QI.

Learning Objectives

  • Introduction to the MyPen Portal – Learn how to create and manage practice users and passwords on CAT Plus applications
  • CAT4 Training – Data cleansing, improve quality of care, identify patients at risk, and maximise business potential
  • PenCS Scheduler – Learn about automated data submissions, how does it work? What to do if my practice data doesn’t submit to our PHN?
  • Topbar Training – Learn how to use the apps available in Topbar to improve patient care, practice management and commercial opportunities.
  • Q & A – There will be designated time allotted for any CAT Plus related queries you have, so feel free to ask the presenter lots of questions.

Afternoon Session - Advanced (1.00pm - 4.30pm)

Focusing on PenCS CAT Plus (PenCAT) applications at an advanced level. If you are an experienced user with a good knowledge of PenCS CAT Plus (PenCAT) applications and you are seeking to develop your knowledge and skills this will be the training session for you. This training will also demonstrate how to use CAT Plus in the context of PIP QI and will largely focus on business improvement.

Learning Objectives

  • Introduction to the MyPen Portal – Learn how to create and manage practice users and passwords on CAT Plus applications
  • CAT4 Training – Data cleansing, improve quality of care, improve your patient care with early identification of chronic disease risk, streamline your business process, and provide evidence to support quality improvement initiatives as part of accreditation
  • PenCS Scheduler – Learn about automated data submissions, how does it work? What to do if my practice data doesn’t submit to our PHN?
  • Topbar Training – Learn how to use the apps available in Topbar to improve patient care, practice management and commercial opportunities. What are Topbar Prompts and how will they improve your business?
  • Q & A – There will be designated time allotted for any CAT Plus related queries you have, so feel free to ask the presenter lots of questions.
