Rural Emergency Skills Training (REST)

Rural Generalists can face emergency situations on a regular basis and are often the first and only health professional who can assist at the scene of an accident.

To ensure you have the skills and confidence to deal with emergency situations confidently and competently during these times, the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) is offering advanced training through its Rural Emergency Skills Training (REST) course, coming to the Gold Coast on 22-23 October 2019.

The two-day program will cover basic life support along with advanced techniques to assist with managing life-threatening injuries and multi-trauma events. The hands-on, step-by-step format provides a structured approach to learning, and covers many common emergencies in rural practice that are relevant to the pre-hospital, small rural hospital and private rural practice environment.

Participants will receive 10 ALS and 30 PRPD points, with ACRRM members receiving a discount to attend.
