The Truth, Healing and Reconciliation Taskforce, knowmore Legal Service and Micah Projects (Lotus Place) will be in Warwick to hear from and speak with people about the National Redress Scheme and how people who have experienced institutional child sexual abuse can be better supported.

Who are the services?
Truth, Healing and Reconciliation Taskforce

Established by the Queensland Government to provide advice on key issues relating to the implementation of reforms arising from the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse (the Royal Commission). The Taskforce is chaired by Bob Atkinson and is made up of 10 members, some who have lived experience of institutional child sexual abuse.

knowmore Legal Service

knowmore is an independent service giving free legal advice and support to survivors of child abuse by providing information about justice and redress options. knowmore also has financial counsellors available for people who are considering applying or have applied for redress under the National Redress Scheme.

Micah Projects (Lotus Place)

A support service and resource centre for people who experienced abuse in an institutional setting, including supporting people to make an application to the National Redress Scheme. We value your feedback and opinions. We also know that thinking and speaking about child abuse in institutional settings may raise emotions/memories. Please know that contact information for Redress Support Services will be available to you on the day.
