Our PHN's Online Learning Portal provides targeted, localised education for primary health care professionals across the Darling Downs and West Moreton region. The modules use interactive learning tools including videos and quizzes designed to optimise learning.

Current learning modules that are available include:

Quality Improvement Logo v1

This learning module has been developed in line with the 10 Improvement Measures identified in the Practice Incentive Payment (PIP) Quality Improvement (QI) Incentive. Topics include:

  • continuous quality improvement (CQI)
  • recording your CQI activity
  • diabetes - improvement measure 1
  • immunisation - improvement measure 4
  • cervical screening - improvement measure 9

Learning Modules Under Development

We are currently developing a number of additional learning modules which are listed below. Health professionals will receive an alert once these become available.

Refugee Ready Healthcare

This learning module will increase the knowledge and confidence of general practice staff caring for refugee patients. Topics include understanding our local refugee population, immunisation and using interpreters to improve the patient experience.

Cultural Competency Logo

This learning module will provide information about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health services that are available in the region, cross-cultural communication and culturally appropriate protocols including Acknowledgements and the Welcome to Country.

Cancer Council

Improving Outcomes for Adults with Atopic Dermatitis

This free, accredited, e-module (developed in collaboration with the Australasian College of Dermatologists) works through a real patient's experience with apparently refractory eczema.

Think GP

This is an online learning module for GPs working in primary care with an interest in genomic testing.

Centre for Palliative Care Research and Education

Find a series of eight short videos for GPs interested in palliative care.

Diabetes Qualified

Find a person-centred, evidence-based eLearning program to increase knowledge and understanding of diabetes for nurses working in general practice.
