APHA 40th National Congress

In 2023, APHA celebrates 40 years of bringing the private hospital sector together to network, share knowledge and grow the industry. APHA celebrates this milestone with an APHA Congress that celebrates our beginnings but also looks into our possible future.

The private hospital sector has proven itself an essential component of Australia’s health care system, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. As we look to the next 40 years the APHA Congress will consider what private hospitals could look like in the future, how technology and AI will drive healthcare, how hospitals can become more sustainable and achieve net zero emissions and strategies to grow the workforce to meet current and future demand. We will also examines how funding models will need to change to meet these challenges.

In addition, we will celebrate the APHA Awards for Excellence, bring everyone together for a fantastic night of celebrations for the APHA Gala Dinner and many other networking events.
