Oceanic Palliative Care Conference
The most awaited event in our sector’s calendar - the Oceanic Palliative Care Conference is one of the biggest, premier palliative care conference in the southern hemisphere.
With more than 1400 delegates and 215 speakers, 23OPCC was an exceptional gathering of professionals and people from diverse backgrounds, all driven by a shared passion for delivering and improving access to palliative care.
25OPCC (at Brisbane, from 10 – 12 September 2025) will build on this momentum and take us a step further in learning and sharing real world solutions and actions that respond to the challenges of an ageing population.
At the heart of 25OPCC lies the theme: “Connecting Systems for Better Care.”
“One of the critical challenges facing our sector and the patients and families is the disconnect between our systems of care. Many receive fragmented care and fall through the gaps,” says Camilla Rowland, CEO PCA.
“25OPCC will address this critical need. This will be an opportunity for us to come together, ask the difficult questions, and find ways to work in collaboration to support individuals and families through life’s most challenging moments.”
Aged care, primary health, oncology, dementia, disability services, paediatrics, Indigenous health- all parts of the health and care sector are welcome and encouraged to be part of the conversation at 25OPCC. “Every connection we make at 25OPCC, is a step towards a stronger, better connected health system. Together, we can ensure that no one faces their health journey unsupported.” adds Dr Alcroft.
