There is a need to provide people living with mental health conditions with better access to evidence-based chronic disease preventive care to assess risk factors and provide behaviour change support, including referral, to reduce risk and support healthier lifestyles.
Community Managed Organisations (CMOs) provide critical, holistic, person-led support to people with a mental health condition. In this Prevention Centre project, they explored the role of CMOs in providing chronic disease preventive care with the aim to improve understanding of how preventive care might be integrated into CMO practice.
In this end of project webinar, they will present the quantitative and qualitative research carried out with CMO managers, staff, peers, and people who are supported by CMOs.
