Towards Better Practice Webinar: Working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participants
Join for a Towards Better Practice Webinar - Working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participants.
Access to the NDIS continues to be a hugely challenging experience for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with a disability continue to be disadvantaged by a system that is not culturally responsive.
How can disability service providers create culturally safe environments, connections and conversations with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, their carers and community, to facilitate greater understanding of and access to the NDIS?
Join Julie daSilva and Donna Pacher from Silver Patch, and Angelika Williams, Rights in Action, to explore the challenges and issues of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participants and discuss strategies for better engagement and connection to facilitate culturally appropriate services responses.
Attendees will have an opportunity for Q&A with the panellists at the end of the session.
