Hepatitis C in Primary Care

Hepatitis C treatment is simple and highly effective!

Primary care providers can play a crucial role in the elimination of hepatitis C in Australia by 2030.  This 1.5 hour online workshop will provide an overview of the management of hepatitis C in primary care settings. Topics covered include the impact of hepatitis C-related stigma and discrimination, case finding, testing and diagnosis, assessment, treatment and monitoring.

Dr Samuel Elliott

Specialist GP, Human Care GP Specialists

Dr. Sam Elliott has been a specialist General Practitioner for 30 years. He obtained his MBBS from the University of Adelaide and holds a Master of Public Health & Tropical Medicine, along with a General Practice fellowship in Queensland. He is a current director on the ASHM Board, the national BBV Advisory Committees, and the National Clinical Evidence Taskforce. Dr. Sam is an active educator and participates in public health research, and has a special interest in skin cancer management, diabetes, liver disease, chronic disease management, and sexual health. He is also an accredited S100 prescriber for HIV and Viral Hepatitis.
