Young People from Refugee Backgrounds - Adolescent Health & Wellbeing

The Refugee Health Network Queensland invites you to attend an education session for primary care professionals, focused on supporting young people from refugee backgrounds to thrive. Ms Deka Ahmed of Mater Refugee and Multicultural Health Service will facilitate the evening, and a Panel Q&A will enable all speakers to discuss clinical care, psychosocial support and cultural and community perspectives on adolescents and young adults arriving from refugee backgrounds. There will also be the opportunity to hear from community members who will provide cultural and community perspectives on adolescent health, health care access and specific challenges for new arrivals.

AUDIENCE: General Practitioners, Practice Nurses, primary healthcare professionals working with adolescents.
