Offical Launch of the Toowoomba Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain Clinic
June 19, 2026
Today, Darling Downs and West Moreton PHN (the PHN) together with Corinne Mulholland, Senator for Queensland, and the team at Drayton Medical Centre, were delighted to celebrate the official opening of the Toowoomba Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain Clinic (EPPC).
Operating within the Drayton Medical Centre, this clinic provides free access to dedicated, multidisciplinary care for people experiencing endometriosis, pelvic pain, perimenopause and menopause.
The clinic offers specialised assessments, evidence-based treatment options, lifestyle and pain management strategies, and coordinated referral pathways to allied health and specialist services when required. For many women and girls, conditions such as endometriosis and chronic pelvic pain can have a significant impact on their health, wellbeing and quality of life. This clinic will help ensure more people can access the specialised care and support they need.
Commissioned by Darling Downs and West Moreton PHN, this clinic is part of the Australian Government’s expansion of endometriosis and pelvic pain clinics nationwide, increasing the total number of clinics to 33, with at least one in each Primary Health Network (PHN) region.
Darling Downs and West Moreton PHN CEO Lucille Chalmers said the new clinic represents an important step forward for women’s health in the region.
“Endometriosis and pelvic pain can have a profound impact on quality of life. This clinic brings care closer to home, and strengthens the essential role of general practice in women’s health,” Ms Chalmers said.
“We are proud to partner with Drayton Medical Centre as they deliver a service that will help women and girls in the Toowoomba region access excellent care when they need it, without needing to travel long distances.”
Drayton Medical Centre GP Dr Sweta Rani said the clinic will help address gaps in the system.
“We see many patients who have lived with pain or symptoms for years without a clear diagnosis or coordinated support. This clinic allows us to provide dedicated time, expertise and multidisciplinary care to help people better understand and manage their condition,” Dr Rani said.
“Our goal is to work closely with each patient’s usual GP and care team, so they feel supported, informed and empowered throughout their health journey.”
