Wattle House is a free and welcoming place for people in the Toowoomba region to access person-centred mental health and wellbeing supports.

At Wattle House, you are welcomed into a safe and supportive space where you can feel heard, understood and respected. Peer workers with lived experience walk alongside each person at their own pace, offering genuine connection, shared understanding and compassion.

Together we explore what wellbeing looks like for you, building confidence, strengthening connections, and finding the mental health and wellbeing supports that feel right for your journey.

Wattle House Toowoomba is a free service for our community. Our aim is to make it easier for you to get the mental health support you need by bringing a range of services under one roof. 

Support offered at Wattle House Toowoomba:

  • Someone to talk to when you’re feeling overwhelmed
  • Support to understand what you’re going through
  • Help to plan your next steps
  • Counselling and psychological therapies
  • Practical support for a short period if you are experiencing distress
  • Support you in finding the mental health and wellbeing supports that feels right for your journey.

You can come to us for early support, ongoing support, or help finding the right place to go next. We can support connection to other health services, including GPs, where this is helpful and with each person’s consent to make your experience feel simple and well connected.  

Wattle House Toowoomba is not a crisis service - For 24/7 mental health crisis support in Queensland, call 1300 MH CALL (1300 642 255). If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call Triple Zero (000) or go to your nearest Emergency Department.

Who we support

Wattle House Toowoomba is for everyone. When you visit us, our team will warmly welcome you. Our team includes peer workers with lived experience, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff, bicultural workers, and access to translation support.

You do not need an appointment or a referral to get support.

What support does Wattle House provide?
