Customised Training: Anticipatory Grief and End of Life Communication
This workshop is for palliative care, aged care and hospital staff.
This session explores the emotional, relational and existential impact of living alongside impending loss. Grounded in contemporary grief theory and attachment-informed perspectives, this session deepens practitioners' understanding of anticipatory grief. Participants explore how patients, families and carers navigate the complexities of challenging emotions, including connection and withdrawal, shifting identities and the emotional weight of prolonged decline.
The full-day format allows for deeper immersion through case-based group work, peer discussions and self-reflection. Participants have dedicated time for practice application, peer feedback and connection with colleagues from across the Darling Downs and West Moreton regions.
