Customised Training: Foundations of Grief-Informed Practice
This workshop is for all health and community workforce.
The session explores the major theoretical frameworks influencing the field, from early stage-based models to contemporary, evidence-informed approaches. Participants will develop a shared foundation of grief literacy and death literacy applicable across inpatient and community practice settings. This includes the ability to recognise common grief responses presenting in individuals and their significant others, and to apply this knowledge with greater clinical confidence, appropriate language and compassion in day-to-day practice.
This introductory session has been designed to be accessible across all roles and levels of experience. The full-day format supports the development of foundational skills through structured group discussion and guided self-reflection, along with small-group work with peers from across the Darling Downs and West Moreton regions.
