Join us at the YMCA Springfield Lakes Community Centre for a workshop to learn how to provide mental health first aid to help someone engaging in non-suicidal self-Injury
This workshop will be facilited by Damien Russell - Clinical Lead /Mental health and Specialised services for West Moreton Health, Ipswich Hospital
The Mental Health First Aid for non-suicidal self-injury will help you to support someone who is engaging in non-suicidal self-injury
This is a 4 hour workshop that will teach the following:
- Why people engage in self-injury
- How to talk to someone about their self-injury
- How to help the person stay safe
- How to connect someone to appropriate professional help
- How to asses for suicidal thoughts and behaviours
