Recognising and responding to wellbeing concerns in young people living with diabetes
This practical webinar will build participants’ confidence in recognising, assessing and responding to mental health and wellbeing concerns in young people living with type 2 diabetes. A case study will provide an opportunity to explore a real-world scenario and identify practical strategies for responding to mental health and wellbeing concerns.
Learning outcomes:
• Explore how to identify and screen for risk
• Communicate effectively with young people
• Use practical assessment tools to support early identification and appropriate responses.
This is the fourth webinar in the "Wellbeing Matters: Supporting Young People Living with Diabetes" series, where we are exploring topics designed to inform, inspire, and spark meaningful discussion. The series is delivered as part of the INSPIRE youth type 2 diabetes (YT2D) study, led by A/Prof Renae Kirkham at the DIABETES across the LIFECOURSE: Northern Australia Partnership.
