InsideOut GP Hub Webinar: The Role of the Primary Care Remote Nurse in the identification & treatment of people with eating disorders

An APNA-endorsed webinar designed specifically for remote primary health nurses including remote area nurses.

The session introduces The InsideOut GP Hub, a groundbreaking, evidence-based resource developed to support primary health nurses including remote area nurses and primary healthcare teams in the identification, assessment, and ongoing support of people living with eating disorders within the scope of nursing practice.
Co-designed with clinicians and people with lived experience, the GP Hub provides practical, point-of-care guidance to support early detection, patient engagement, care coordination, monitoring, and referral pathways in remote and primary care settings.

Who should attend
All Primary Health Nurses, particularly those working in regional and remote areas.

Webinar Details
This interactive webinar is designed to strengthen primary health nurses’ including remote area nurses’ knowledge and confidence in recognising, assessing, and supporting people with eating disorders using evidence-based practice.

What participants will gain:
• Understanding of eating disorder diagnoses, prevalence, at-risk groups, and the impact of stigma
• Insight into the importance of early detection, screening, and intervention
• Practical strategies to confidently support patients with eating disorders
• Ability to identify medical and psychiatric risks and apply appropriate management guidance
