Competition details

Prizes will be award to the top 2 practices in each category that exceed the minimum threshold of 64 SHS per GP (FTE) between 1 June to 31 August, 2024.


  • Small practice (prize of $1,000 per practice)
  • Medium practice (prize $1,500 per practice)
  • Large practice ( prize $2,500 per practice).

Prize money must be spent on training or education for the general practice.

Competition Terms and Conditions

  1. Competition Organiser: The competition is run by Darling Downs & West Moreton PHN (“the PHN”)
  2. Eligibility: The competition is open to all general practices located within the Darling Downs & West Moreton PHN region.
  3. Competition Period: The competition will run from 1st June 2024 to 31st August 2024 ("Competition Period").
  4. Objective: The objective of the competition is to encourage GPs in the Darling Downs & West Moreton region to upload at least 1 shared health summary (SHS) per day to My Health Record during the Competition Period.
  5. Entry Requirements:
    1. General practices must be within the Darling Downs & West Moreton PHN region.
    2. Each GP within the practice must upload at least 1 SHS per day to My Health Record during the Competition Period to qualify for entry (ie. based on 64 working days, this equates to 64 SHS uploaded per GP (FTE)).
  6. Competition Criteria: The winners of the competition will be determined based on the following criteria:
    1. The highest total number of SHS uploads per day by all GPs within the practice during the Competition Period.
    2. The total number of SHS uploads per GP in the practice is equal to or exceeds 64 across the Competition Period.
    3. At the conclusion of the Competition Period, the practice provide the PHN with a report from their medical software (eg. Best Practice) that evidences the total number of SHS uploads to My Health Record during the competition period, including a breakdown to show the uploads of all their GPs.
    4. Practices may also need to inform the PHN of a GP’s working status during the competition period (eg. part time status) if they believe a pro rata equivalent of the minimum requirements stipulated in point 6b has been met.
  7. Prizes: Prizes will be awarded to the two practices in each category with the highest number of SHS uploads during the competition period, having also achieved or exceeded the minimum SHS uploads stipulated in point 6b.
    1. Winning practices will need to provide the PHN will details of their planned use of the funds to verify the prize money will be used towards training or education.
    2. Prize money will need to be spent by 30 June 2025.
  8. Competition Categories:
    1. Small practice: 1-5 GPs.
    2. Medium practice: 6-15 GPs
    3. Large practice: 16+ GPs.
  9. Winner Announcement: The winner(s) will be announced within 4 weeks after the end of the Competition Period through HP News and the PHN's socials.
  10. Rights and Permissions: By participating in the competition, general practices grant permission to the PHN to use their practice name and related information for promotional purposes.
  11. Organiser's Decision: The decision of the competition organiser regarding eligibility, criteria, winners, and any disputes shall be final and binding.
  12. Modification or Termination: The PHN reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the competition at any time without prior notice.
  13. Compliance: General practices are responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards while participating in the competition.
